Altar Servers

Hello to parents & interested children, and peace be with you.

This year, as part of our expansion of OLP's youth initiatives, we are actively seeking to welcome, train and schedule a proper Altar Server's ministry. Our goal this year is to have a full team of servers scheduled for each of our weekend Masses, as well as our important feast day Masses and school Liturgies. This also includes formal training, exclusive events and social activity opportunities for our Altar Servers.

If you are curious about altar serving during the mass, have any questions about what the role requires and is responsible for, or are ready to make an application to altar serve at OLP, please click the button below for a short letter from Fr. Biju & the attached form to fill out and submit. Submissions can be made to the OLP Office during open hours or to Arnold Samson at the parish on weekends (usually at Sunday masses).

NEW: On Saturday March 29th from 10am-2pm, we will be having our Easter Training Session: we will be continuing our training with our new & experienced Altar Servers. This session will be focused especially on the Holy Week liturgies for Palm Sunday & Easter Triduum.

Please come out to the Main Church at 10am on the 29th, If your child is interested in joining the Altar Servers; for any parents or children that have enthusiasm and want to serve their parish in a special and sacred way. Attendance is necessary for a bit of learning, social interaction, and liturgical developmentWhile it is required to have received First Holy Communion to serve, children aged 6 and up can still attend and learn. Official scheduling for trained Altar Servers will begin soon.
